Compared with the concentration fixed by the specific gas filled in the nut product package, the concentration of various gases in the finished product packaging changes during the later storage process, especially the oxygen concentration increases.

Cause analysis

(1) Packaging materials

Poor barrier property - the packaging material has a high permeability to oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, air and other gases (i.e., low barrier property), resulting in a high amount of oxygen (or air) that penetrates into the package and a high amount of nitrogen loss inside the package.

Poor kneading resistance - for aluminum-containing packaging composite films (aluminum foil or aluminized film), if the rubbing resistance of the packaging material is poor, when rubbed or extruded by external force, it is easy to form creases, pinholes and other problems, resulting in the reduction of the barrier property of the packaging materials used in nut products.

Poor puncture resistance - some nut products have sharper husks, which will produce a certain puncture force on the packaging bag, and if the packaging has poor puncture resistance, it is prone to air leakage.

(2) Finished product packaging production process

Poor sealing - the bag body or heat sealing part of the finished packaging of nut products is prone to air leakage at a certain pressure or in a long time of storage, especially the sealing quality of the heat sealing part is poor, such as the heat sealing strength is too low or too high, and the hot air strength is uneven, it is more likely to leak.
