Because different products have different requirements for packaging materials, material selection should be made based on product characteristics, including whether it is easy to deteriorate, factors that cause deterioration (such as light, water or oxygen), product form, product surface hardness, storage conditions, sterilization temperature, etc. A good vacuum bag does not necessarily need to have many functions, but it depends on whether it is suitable for the product.
1. Products with regular shapes or soft surfaces: For products with regular shapes or soft surfaces, such as sausages, soy products, etc., it is not necessary to require high mechanical strength of the material. Only the barrier properties of the material and the impact of sterilization temperature on the material need to be considered. Therefore, for such products, OPA/PE structured packaging bags are generally used. If high-temperature sterilization is required (above 100 ℃), OPA/CPP structure can be used, or high-temperature resistant PE can be used as the heat sealing layer.
2. Products with high surface hardness: Products such as meat products with bones, due to their high surface hardness and hard protrusions, are prone to puncturing packaging bags during vacuum pumping and transportation. Therefore, the packaging bags of these products need to have good puncture resistance and cushioning performance. Vacuum bags made of PET/PA/PE or OPET/OPA/CPP materials can be selected. If the product weight is below 500g, you can try using packaging bags with OPA/OPA/PE structure. This type of bag has good product adaptability, better vacuum pumping effect, and will not change the shape of the product.
3. Products that are prone to spoilage: Low temperature meat products and other products that are prone to spoilage and require low-temperature sterilization do not have high requirements for the strength of the packaging bags, but they require excellent barrier properties. Therefore, pure co extruded films can be chosen, such as PA/PE/EVOH/PA/PE structure films, or dry compound formulas can be used, such as PA/PE films, and K-coating materials can also be used. High temperature products can use PVDC shrink bags or dry composite bags.
4. Higher end and high-quality products: Seven layer co extrusion packaging, with superior barrier performance, can simultaneously meet the needs of products 1, 2, and 3. Its use makes your product more upscale, greatly extending the shelf life of the content.
